Seductin Soviet Kitsch

Lately, I've been obsessing about this russian/american artist named Regina Spector. Lately I got her cd in the mail, and it was extremely well made, much better than I ever could've imagined. I anticipated it to be good, but in a indie sort of way. If you know what I mean, there aint that much extremely good indie music, but people just accept indie as this expressionistic musical trip which would be some of a sin to hate. I mean, how can one hate art, because art is only a state of mind passed in to something. It's more like accepting that the earth is round, nobody knows why, but you just got to accept things as they are?
